The Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Inocentes de Belford Roxo is a samba school in Belford Roxo that participates in the Carioca Carnival. It was founded on July 11, 1993, and is based in the Parque São Vicente neighborhood, in the same district.
The School's first parade was in 1994 with the theme "Alô alô carnival, here's Carmem Miranda". Its first championship came by Access Group C in 1998. The following year, Inocentes was the runner-up of Access Group B, with the theme "Viva a Baixada, long steps of progress towards the Third Millennium". In 2001, after having financial difficulties and lowering the classification, it c3hanged its name and municipality, becoming Inocentes da Baixada and headquartered in São João de Meriti. Returning in 2005, to the current name and city. Reaching the championship of Group 3 with the theme "Ewe, The cure comes from the forest", by Jorge Caribé and thus ensuring the ascent to Group 2.
For the carnival of 2012, the school repatriated the carnival Wagner Gonçalves, who brought a plot about the city of Corumbá. In addition, the school also brought Thiago Brito, who was in the Caprichosos de Pilares, to be his new interpreter and as Drummers' Queen Luciana Picorelli. The school made a correct parade, without getting excited, with focus on winning the carnival; which it did causing some controversy for being named champion three months before the carnival.
For 2013, in its debut in the Main Group, the school renewed with the carnival Wagner Gonçalves and brought one of the best couples of master-room and banner-bearer of the carnival: Rogerinho and Lucinha Nobre. The school also had the reinforcements of the experienced Wantuir, dividing the function of interpreter with Thiago Brito and of Master Celinho, that commanded the drums' section along with Master Washigton. With the lead Lucilene Caetano in its debut year in the main division of the samba schools, the school was not successful in maintaining the main group, being demoted, having in 2014 again to compete in the Preliminary group of the Rio Carnival. The school was in the last place among the participants of 2013, with the average of 291.1 points, 2.4 points behind the penultimate placed Mocidade Independente.
