Our Story will talk about money and its relation to the human from its communication until the present time. It is, without a doubt, one of the most important instruments in the economic life of nations and people. To be sure, just imagine what a life without money would be. How can we buy, sell and pay, stock up and save for the future, etc. if it does not exist?
Our parade begins with two classic legends that shed light on justice and a human greed for money.
The first one speaks of Robin Hood, the English mythical hero (12th century), who stole life, the experience of harvests through taxes, and the rates of extortion and distribution for the poor.
The second edition of King Midas's history, which brings together the best golden moments in gold that touched. The gift turned curse. The same favorite child was transformed by him into gold.
Then the Kingdom of Lydia (Turkey) where the first coins were created. After the coin came the paper. The Chinese were the first to realize the advantage of a paper in the sheet of paper documents in the tenth century.

The Imperatriz floating in outer space?
The pharmacist Amaury Jório was the mentor of the Imperatriz Leopoldinense. After the extinction of Recreio de Ramos, of which it was part, Jório had the idea to found a samba school. But in order for the new association to have strength and not to succumb as the extinct Recreio, it would be necessary to add the cream of the sambistas of the Zone of Leopoldina. Known for his political skill, Amaury called sambistas and revelers from other blocks and associations in the region, as well as his friends, to a meeting at his house, Rua Dr. Euclides Faria, number 22 in Ramos. The Imperatriz Leopoldinense was founded on a Friday, March 6, 1959, by Amaury Jorio, Oswaldo Gomes Pereira, Arlindo de Oliveira Lima, Elísio Pereira de Mello, Agenor Gomes Pereira, Vicente Venâncio da Conceição, José da Silva (Zé Gato , Jorge Costa (Tinduca), Francisco José Fernandes (Canivete), Manoel Vieira (Sagui), Aloísio Soares Braga (Indio), Jorge Salaman, Manoel Hermógenes dos Santos, Arlindo de Oliveira Lima, Nair dos Santos Vaz, Nair da Silva, Claudionor Belizário, Zé Katimba, among other sambistas and revelers of the region, and remnants of Recreio de Ramos. Unlike most other schools, which have their origins in needy communities, the Imperatriz emerged in a well-structured location in the suburbs of Rio. This fact generated a contingent of components of mixed social levels. Both simple people and groups of highly educated students participated in its founding.
During the founding meeting, a governing board was created that would be in charge of legalizing the school, creating its internal regiment and summoning other samba players from the region to participate in the segments of the newly created association (drums, wing of the samba dancers, wing of Bahia, composers, etc.). At the same meeting, the name and symbols of the new school were chosen. Osvaldo Gomes Pereira was elected the first president of the Imperatriz, until a new election was called. Amaury Jorio was chosen the secretary and Arlindo de Oliveira Lima, the treasurer. In the same year of foundation, the association obtained the localization permit, establishing its headquarters in the house of Amaury Jório, being the pioneer in such accomplishment.
