CAPRICHOSOS EM LOUVAÇÃO
ENERGIA DOS ORIXÁS
NATUREZA QUE CHAMA
Á LUZ DO TEU COLO EM NÓS
SALVE A FILHA DE IEMANJÁ
NA BELEZA DE IJEXA
SEGUE A CORRENTEZA
SE OSUN E Á NOBREZA DO BRILHO NO OLHAR
FORÇA VEM DA CACHOEIRA ME EMBALA E ME DÁ PROTEÇÃO
BRILHA Á ALMA DA DEUSA, ME CURVO EM DEVOÇÃO
ESPELHO, FLOR E PERFUME TEM XIRE
COLOQUEI MEU IFA NO OMOLOCUM
CAMARÃO NO AZEITE DE DENDE
PARA OXUM (ORAIEIEUM)
NO MANTO DO OURO DA PROSPERIDADE
E MATERNIDADE, DOÇURA E O AMOR
QUE CONQUISTOU OGUM, OXÓSSI E XANGO
HOJE OS OGANS SÃO DE PILARES
TAMBORES ECOAM NO INFINITO
MAJESTOSA, AINDA MAIS CAPRICHOSA
FAZENDO UM CORTEJO TÃO BONITO
CADA UM AQUI É SEU FILHO DE FÉ
QUE CHORA É AMO, QUE HONRA E SENTE
O COLO, A LUZ, A MÃO, O AXE
A RAÇA QUE MARCA E CONDUZ A NOSSA GENTE
ORAIEIEO MAMÃE OXUM
LAVA MINHA ALMA E MEU CORAÇÃO
CAPRICHOSAMENTE CHEGOU PILARES
INICIANDO SUA REDENÇÃO
OXUM, orisha worshiped in all the Afro-Brazilian religions, was born whimsically. The name OXUM, derives from the Osun River, which runs in the Nigerian region of Ijexá and Ijebu in Africa. She is the orisha of the sweet waters, the prosperity and the beauty. In OXUM, the faithful seek help for the solution of problems in love, since it is responsible for the enchantment and unions, and also prosperity ... They tell the legends that: OGUM, OXÓSSI and XANGÔ fell in love with the charms of this sweet IABÁ. Vain and beautiful, OXUM is the bird, is the fish, is the FORCE of nature and the greatness of the feminine POWER in its deepest ESSENCE. When manifested, it appears perfumed, adorned, enchanted, admiring herself in her ABEBÊ. It is time to wash the SOUL and HEART ... Blessed by OXUM, each component of the Caprichosos de Pilares will enter the rivers and waterfalls of fresh waters, and bathe in faith to renew their energies ... The time has come to cleanse all negativity and do our best to bring the 2018 Group C Carnival Championship.
Founded on February 19, 1949, by Walter Machado, Firminiano Romão da Silva, Sebastião Benjamim, Oscar Pedro de Alcântara, João Cândido, Amarildo Cristiano, Dagoberto Bernardo (Beto Limoeiro) and Tia Alvarinda, is headquartered in Rua Faleiros, Pilares.
Unhappy with the parade of an old Pilares association, Unidos de Terra Nova, a group of samba players of the region decided to found a samba school that stood out by the caprice, being created then the Recruiter Guild School of Samba Caprichosos de Pilares.
Formed by a humble and hardworking population, Pilares, neighborhood of the suburb of Rio, next to Del Castilho, Thomaz Coelho, Inhaúma, Engenho de Dentro and Cachambi, has as a frame the hills of Urubu, Engenho da Rainha and favelas Fernão Cardin e Rato Wet.
Since its founding in 1949, Caprichosos de Pilares has won three titles of carnival champion in groups of hits: in 1960, with the theme Invasão Holandesa na Bahia, 1971, with the theme Brazil in the spring and 1982, with the theme “Pretty Ladies Does Not Pay”
The two snakes that make up the school's coat of arms are folkloric. Nobody knows for sure why, but some say it would be a homage of the founders of the Caprichosos to the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB), who acted in the attack of the allies to Monte Castelo, Italy, during World War II. In another theory, the snake would represent an animal at the time to compete with the Portela eagle, the lion of Estácio de Sá and the crown of the Serrano Empire.
Around 1974, Mr. Amaury Jório, president of AESCRJ, asked the regional administrator, who at that time was Dr. Oswaldo de Moura Brito Piragibe (Dr. Piragibe), to grant a space for the construction of Caprichosos de Pilares. The administrator became so involved with the project that he not only collaborated with the play, but also entered into the history of the school. The construction site was an urbanization area of the Cristóvão Colombo viaduct (Pilares viaduct). Thanks to Dr. Piragibe the land was ceded by the city hall.
In 1985 with an innovative proposal, the school of Pilares consolidated its irreverent carnival style, with a mixture of politics and humor in the theme “And by speaking about missing...” With several participations in the Main Group, the Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Caprichosos de Pilares performed humorous parades, which characterizes it as a school irreverently loved by all. Caprichosos made great carnivals. Marked by his impassioned and irreverent sambas, which have always been at the tip of the people's tongue. Therefore, its greater titles were given by the general public, like, for example, the Gold Standard in 1985.
Satire, criticism and good humor constitute a formula that mark the carnivals of the school of Pillars. The themes, created by Luiz Fernando Reis, talked about inflation, criticized the politicians, asked for the direct ones already. Themes that pleased and spoke for the public.
In 1993, with the theme "There Is No Sin on the Side of the Rebouças Tunnel", which paid homage to the suburban resident, Caprichosos was second to last, almost being demoted to the preliminary group. In the mid-90's, more precisely in 1995, Caprichosos de Pilares abandoned the irreverent style and presented on the avenue a more expensive and luxurious carnival. The then carnival Mauro Quintaes, disciple of Joãosinho Trinta, developed the theme with more technology than the school was accustomed to. That year, Caprichosos put her samba in the mouth of the people too: "I'm going to end up in this magic, and the Caprichosos brings the energy." It is speculated that this change was due to the lack of good results in terms of grades and ratings that the irreverent parades had achieved. In 1996, with a theme on chocolate, the school ended up being demoted to the Preliminary Group. For very little the school did not stay, as it tied with Unidos da Tijuca, school that ended up taking the best in the tiebreaker. The following year, Caprichosos was runner-up to the Preliminary Group and rose again to the Main Group, where she remained until the 2006 carnival.
Caprichosos even developed a critical theme in 2000 about the military dictatorship, and in 2005, with a return to good humor, the school paid tribute to LIESA's twenty years. In 2006, the school presented the theme “The Holy Spirit Has Done Well”, paying homage to the state of Espírito Santo, that same year LIESA changed the regulations and instead of one, two schools would be demoted, the school finished in thirteenth place, being demoted with to Acadêmicos da Rocinha that was in the last place.
In 2007, the school paraded in the Preliminary Group and won the runner-up talking about gas and biodiesel, as from that year only one school would rise to the Special Group that would eventually be the Access champion, Caprichosos did not return toelite of the carioca carnival. On October 11, 2007, Caprichosos lost its founder, carnival director and administrative vice president, Athayde Pereira, who died due to a heart attack. The following year, talking about the municipality of Itaboraí and with samba and themes considered beautiful, but sinning in allegories with badly decorated generators and iron on display, Caprichosos finishes in 6th place. In 2009, with the theme No transport of joy ... It takes me Capricious on the way to the party, the Caprichosos is in last place between the schools, but it saves itself of the imminent relegation, because the LESGA decided that nobody would fall due to the world crisis, that would have the preparation of the associations. But, it is speculated that "salvation" would have occurred because the president of the Innocent Belford Roxo school that would also be downgraded Group B was the then president of LESGA.
In 2010, even without many resources, he reedited "And by speaking in saudade", a simple but contagious and lively, free and free parade, where the school was acclaimed by all the stands but only obtained the 7th place. In the same year, the Portuguese Ratinho died, one of the greatest composers of the history of the association.
In 2011 the school brought the theme "Humble People", talking about the difficulties of the resident of the Rio suburb. The school already paraded with the clear day and brought a simple and humble parade, but with much claw. At the beginning of the assessment, the club lost 0.5 point by presenting a "strange element" in the vanguard commission, a tripod. The School finished in 10th place, descending to Group B. A few weeks after being demoted, there was election for president, a claim from which the businessman Cézar Thadeu Vinheiros was victorious.
In 2012, Caprichosos performed for Group B with the theme "Caprichosos plays its part ... gets up, shakes the dust and turns around!", by the carnival designer Amauri Santos. The school made a very competent parade, with fantasies and allegories coherent and very well finished. The community sang loud and joked a lot on the avenue. The escort and flag-bearer couple, Diego Falcão and Jaqueline Gomes, were wearing a beautiful fantasy in shades of blue and silver and made the most beautiful presentation of the evening. This parade marked the return of Clóvis Pê as interpreter, and brought a new queen of drums, Bianca Salgueiro, who was queen of the carioca carnival in 2011. Having computed 300 points in the determination of 22/02, the association was crowned champion and returning to parade by Preliminary Group in 2013.
For the 2013 parade, due to coincide with Mocidade Alegre, where he is the official singer, Clóvis Pê departs from the official microphone but not from the school and, due to his departure, appointed two official interpreters: Sandro Motta and Lico Monteiro, who later joined the experienced Celino Dias and Pepê Niterói, forming a quartet of interpreters of the school; being Pepê, due to several faults, was dismissed, forming a trio of interpreters. By 2014, the school continued with Amauri Santos as its carnival designer. However, there were changes in the direction of carnival-harmony and Thiago Brito returned as interpreter of the school. The samba of the year was chosen on September 21, 2013, by Jorginho Moreira, Frank, Rafael Gigante, Victor Rangel, Max Colonna and Edinho de Pilares, defeating in the final, the partnerships of Sylvinho, Dudu Mendes, Tuil Pontes, Geraldo Filho and Cláudio Bacana; Noel, JB, Noca da Portela, Anderson Maia, Nelsinho and Diogão Pereira and Aurelio Proença, Paulo Aparício, Mauro Speranza, Naldo da Carne de Sol, Mauro do Gato and Márcio do Swing. With a theme about Lapa, the school finished in 9th place. After the carnival, there was a litigation where the then deputy of former president Gilberto Nilo was elected and the former president came to occupy the presidency of honor. In 2015 the school presented the theme "In my hand is cheaper", by the new carnival designer Leandro Vieira. With the return of the traditional irreverence, the group excited the public and made its best presentation of the decade according to the specialized critics, finishing the parade in the seventh place.
In the carnival of 2016, the school presented the theme "Has Gringo no Samba", a tribute to foreigners who made history in Brazil, having as central character of the theme the former soccer player Petkovic. For financial problems inherited from past administrations, according to the president of the school, the members paraded with incomplete fantasies and poorly finished floats. The ward of the Bahians left with 33 members, when the regulation determines that they are at least 35. The school still exceeded in four minutes the maximum time allowed for the parade, 55 minutes. With all these problems, Caprichosos was relegated to Group B. In June 2016, Gilberto Nilo departs from the presidency of the school alleging health reasons, instead takes on a presidential board formed by Maria Alice, Jorge 101, Lee Santana, Sidney de Pilares and Fabio Caprichosos
For the Carnival of 2017, the first one in Intendente Magalhães, the school chose the theme "Let's break it all, just for sucanagem" developed by Amauri Santos, who will deal with corruption. For the parade, the blue and white hired some reinforcements, among them the interpreter Anderson Bala, who replaces Thiago Brito, who went to Estácio. In October, Carnival Amauri leaves Caprichosos claiming internal reasons, Luiz Fernando Reis, who returned to school after 23 years, was repatriated to his post. Soon after, the theme title was changed to "It was not enough to change the beginning, but let's change the ending". At the end of the previous year, LIESB announced that the school will lose 1 point in the calculation for not having delivered its samba-tema to compose the official CD of Group B, and in January, it was announced the loss of one more point for the school not having representative in the meetings of the league that organizes the parades of Group B. The board arrived to appeal of the punishment, but without success. At the end of January, the school announced its new escort and flag-bearer couple: Jackson Senhorinho (who is also the second escort of the Vila Isabel) and Fernanda Love - Beija-Flor's second flag bearer. With a good parade in the plastic questions and problematic in the track, the blue and white finished in tenth place, being demoted to the Group C, equivalent to the fourth division of the carioca carnival.
Also in 2017, the school elected Carlos Leandro Fernando as the new president of Caprichosos, marking the return of the Leandro family to power, since Carlos is the son of former president Alberto Leandro and his grandfather Fernando Leandro were also former presidents of the school.
