Samba Parade Costumes
You too can take part and parade yourself with a samba school in the Sambodromo, just choose one of the 2010 Rio Carnival costumes.
All you have to do is buy a costume and arrive at the right time for your school's parade. You do not have to arrive early for it in Rio, you only have to go to the Sambodromo for the Parade itself.

You can participate in the ground wing or on top of a float. Most people march in their favorite school's ground wing. The costumes for those wings are generally produced and sold by the wing's president. Float positions are usually for media celebrities however some are sold commercially.
Anyone can participate in a ground wing.
In order to be considered for a place on a float they will usually request some recent photos preferably in bikinis or swimming trunks.
Most ground wing costumes are unisex, equally used by both men and women.
As you will be in a specific sector of a particular samba school, please choose your costume together with the appropriate parading time.
You only need to make your purchase and order the right costume size. Your president will let you know about all wing-specific rules and requirements.
